Comments on heat treatments

Annealing heat treatment under neutral or reducing atmosphere - annealing temperature around 750°C, duration at temperature 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the volumes treated. Heat treatment for stress relief of rolled, stretched, punched parts, etc. - treatment temperature 250°C, preferably under a neutral or reducing atmosphere.

Heat treatment condition

Pickling after annealing with an open flame, remove carbon deposits in a bath of 10% sulfuric acid with 2% to 3% nitric acid, then pickling in a bath containing 80% water, 9% sulfuric acid 66° Be and 11% sodium dichromate, cold or preferably hot (50 to 60°C).
